Unexpected Turn In My Life

The dream of becoming an aerospace engineer made me choose the science field followed by passing it with flying colors was the result of my dedication.

Then, I dreamed of pursuing my further studies abroad. To take a step toward that, I prepared for the IELTS examination with full support from my family. Fortunately, I cleared it on my first attempt. It felt like I had completed half of the journey toward my dream, and I was just one step away from it.

Yet, life had other plans—specifically, my parents did. They insisted that I complete one year at an Indian university to gain experience and explore life. I agreed, half-heartedly, thinking it was temporary, so I enrolled in a course that wasn't too expensive and could provide knowledge that might help me generate side income—digital marketing.

But soon, it started feeling permanent. Now, as I sit reflecting on those moments, I regret my decision. Why was I quiet? I should have taken a stand for my dream.

Always take a stand for your dreams until time is gone; otherwise, regret will be the only thing you have in your hands.
